Awesome man. Who knows, if you can get this up N running for cheap, I may join in  I've got enough spare parts laying around to sell and get some $$$ for tubbo stuff.

lol. random.
Your about to get another neg rep!

Please explain yo self

Eh, not really. I don't know if its a 14b or 16g yet. I'll look at the compressor blades when I get it. (didn't have any pictures.) If its a 14b, I've heard they "top" out at around 15psi. Good for around 220-250hp. Good enough for me! I'm only looking for just under 200. So if I need to, 10-12 psi should take care of that.

Nice progress, Andrew.

Just a pointer:
One thing I would recommend is a nice BOV. A buddy of mine has a turbo'd LS-VTEC with a Blitz BOV. Sure its loud, but at low boost levels when you let off the gas, produces mad compressor surge. Definetely get a synchronic. I've seen one on an Eclipse GSX, and my buddy's car now. It was enough to convince me.

I made a purchase today...
DSM TD05H turbo with HF mani
HMT DP for TD05 setup
Upper HMT i/c pipe w/ eghey greddy knockoff BOV
for $140 shipped! Sccchhhhwwwing!

Next I'm taking the DSM injectors to a turbo place here in town and having them cleaned. I'm going to try and get a printout too. That'll be kinda neat; see what they are actually flowing.

It's happening!

Man, I will fax you a dollar if you post a picture of the HF mani after you mate it with the turbo. I'm at a cross roads with my HF mani and whether or not to use it for my D set up.

Do you really think I wasn't going to post a picture of it? haha! :p

Matt, thanks for the testimony man. I've always heard that you can use Ebay Wastegates no problem, but I was unsure about BOV's. Since I'm kinda doing a budget thing, I might just get my hands on a DSM and recirculate it = quiet and cheap. Or if i can find a good deal on a synchronic...

Recirculation isn't nessicary (because our hondas use a MAP air mass calculation, not a traditional mass air sensor like DSMs and European cars), but it'll prolong the life of the turbo. Good idea if you ask me. It's what I'm going to do.

Synchronic valves are extremely loud. Go hear one in person before you buy one. If you've throught about a quiet valve, chances are that you don't want something that screams "STEAL ME" at 119dB.

That's about the time I'll have my stuff setup and running. It's my daily driver, so I can't afford to take a long time. I've got to have it operational, and the most I can afford to have it down is for the weekend.

Be sure to keep us up to date. I'm interested in your progress. It's good to see you back on the D-path again. <3

Yeah the only reason I thought of recirculating is just for the noise.
I hope for the best on your setup too, bro.

We'll see who's faster. :D

I don't race straight lines. You ship the rex out to Nürburg ring, and we'll see. Fastest time gets the slower car's title?

EDIT: Actually, that's not fair. Let me reiterate how scary the ring is, and how I'd never want to 'race for profit' on it. Fucking scary track..... So, offer recended. I'll figure out a way we can compare carpenises.

Dude I would LOVE to run on the ring. but not with my crappy crx. :p give me a porche gt and we're talkin business.
I would get passed up like I was sitting still on that track in my rex, not to mention making 20 sec. lap times haha!!!

Most of the porsche drivers are so scared they're going to wreck, they barely even push the limits. I know a guy who can't get faster than an 11min time because of that. Shit, I run about 11:50 or so.

If you can fly here by October, I'll let you run the ring in my car. How's that for a deal?

I would love to take my carover there and run on it, I would be so excited to run just one lap. It would be the best 11minutes of my life.

haha...believe me, I know you were. I figured a little incentive to post it faster wouldn't hurt things though. :D

If you've never run it, it'll be more like the best 15 minutes. You want to take it slow your first time.

The only Ring experience I have is thanks to Gran Turismo. And as much as I know the track layout from that... It would very be scary. Plus isn't there like 4023740832470 other cars and bikes on the track all the time? Sorry to thread jack Andrew, get that turbo on!
