Well, the job was great, I loved it. But the service manager was making my life a living hell and was trying in every way to get me fired. The pay just wasn't high enough to take the bullshit. I told my boss about it and he said that his service manager has been around since the beginning and does his job well which I could agree with to a a point.

The service manager failing to give me cars to repair and making up lies about me burning out in the parking lot in customers cars and just beating on them was unacceptable. I was getting pulled aside by the big man and getting bitched at for things I wasn't doing. I think the service manager is racist and that's why he was on the bullshit.

Hell, even when I try calling in and leaving a message, my boss wasn't getting my messages because this service manager just disregarded my calls and apparently didn't deliver them. My boss accepting this bullshit was also enough to make me quit, since he shouldn't let that happen and/or take it lightly.

Once again, I'm jobless.

damn thats no good.
sometimes youve gotta learn to just deal with peoples shit,,
and obviously this wasnt one of those times,,
but goodluck with finding a new job

i don't know what to tell you man, something needs to get fixed here. you have a streak of bad times.

find something you like doing and try to stick with it. i know your record gets in the way, but try to stay clean and try to get something you can stick with for a while.

That's really unfortunate that the service manager was such a douche. It sounds like you really enjoyed the job. Maybe you could find a similar one somewhere else?

Yea, I'm gonna look for another similar job.

But I did, I loved the job, most of the technicians were cool the boss was awesome and easy to deal with but just as strict and up front when he needed to be

but there is a need for him to have a job. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just being realistic.

With the way things were going and with this asshole service manager I would have ended up getting fired. I wanted to leave on a good note.

On Monday I replace a rear end in a Yukon, pulled it out of my bay and blipped the throttle, it chirped a little bit and that was it. On Tuesday I go into work and get pulled aside by the boss extremely upset. He's telling me the service manager stated I burned out from one end of the parking lot to the other in the Yukon. I got suspended for that day, he sent me home.

Wednesday I kept my distance from the service manager and worked on only 2 cars because the service manager decided to keep all the work orders in his office, I kept taking orders from one of the guys who works there who's board was mysteriously overfilled with work orders while mine had one car for the entire day.

I'm not trying to down you. You were in a tough spot no doubt. What it comes down to is that no job and the PO can make your life hell. Hope you find another one soon.

Not to be on the other side of the coin, but you sound just like my BIL. Its always someone elses fault, etc. You've been at the job for two or three weeks if I remember correctly and are getting into shit like that? No doubt they're going to be on your ass - you have to prove your trustworthyness. You stated that you had to call out? Why? Unless your ass gets shot or is violently sick you should be there working.

Court. Just as important. I tried to change the court date to not miss work. But my boss knew before hand and was ok with it but I was calling as a friendly reminder.

And I don't know what the deal with this SM is, I got along with everyone except him. I'm not trying to blame anyone, I quit for my own good, like I said I wanted to leave on a good note, not wait until I got fired because this asshole makes up some bullshit.

It's understandable. But I get where he's coming from(bob), and where you are. I hackle my guys, but I never power trip them, or pull stunts that could hurt their job.

I do have a question? What do you do for money? I'm just curious.

And get back out there, I know your record huts your ability to get a job, but soon you'll find an employer that appreciates your work ethic, and skills, and hopefully the appreciation will be transfered into a monetary quantity.

I bust into my savings, sell some stock, I came into a large amount of money a while back and have it as back up. Yea it'll be gone in the next year if I keep going the way I'm going.

That sucks ass man. I just did the same thing I walked out from my last job and I'm unemployed too. I just got tired of being underpaid, and being the only one busting my ass at work while everyone else just stood around and made fun of me for being the only one working while they could sit around. So I just walked out and it was really funny to see the manager come running out the front "HEY where are you going? What are you doing?" I said "Find yourself a new cook".

Good luck finding a new job.

Sometimes you gotta eat shit... believe me, I have.
