well herre it goes i have a 96 gsr head on an 94 b18b1 ls block and an obd1 distibutor. at first i had problems because i wasnt getting fuel but ive figured that one out. im running a pr4 obd0 ecu and i have an apexi vafc to control the vtec. but im not getting any fire. is anyone out there having the same problems, and does the obd1 distributor work with the obd0 ecu or are the differences. i really need help so if anyone out there knows what there are talking about, then please comment i cant have any no brainers trying to help me because i have gone through most of the troubleshooting. i have changed the ignition coil to msd and i also went ahead and bought an msd 6al ignition.please help.
 
obd1 and 2 distributors will not work with the obd0 ecus. No matter how many wire configurations you try! You have to use the obd0 dohc distributor. The injectors should work fine as long as your car is already an si model with the multi point fuel injection. If its dual point it has to be converted! Hope that helps!
 
you also need to change your injectors too. and u will never get fuel beacause the computer times its injector pulses based on the dizzy. get a obd 0 dizzy and you will be good to go.
 
when swapping there are 3 things that need to correspond

the
ECU
distributor
injectors

you should always have them all match..it makes for the best results.and reliability
 
Youve gotta be fuckin kiddin me. Its harder to find these old ass threads then it is to find an answer to your question.
 
LS VTEC ( helpppp) !!!

i have a ls vtec 2! its BONE STOCK i have a problem its not bringing out all the power.... i tryed
-gsr ecu it boggs
- typer R vtec opens late at 6000
- p28 chromed chipped with jumper

and it still runs like garbage i have a skunk 2 inatke mainfold and headers an a flowmaster so its breathing right... somebody please help me, i think it will run better if it gets tunned??? somebody help
