1995 civic jdm b16 swap

It looks really nice and the guy has been very honest about its defects so I figured its worth a look, I might be trading my accord for it because he has a kid and needs something his wife can drive... we'll see

opinions?

Looks cleanish. But he already has back seats, why would he trade for another car with the same number of seats?

Looks pretty clean and it does look like he is being pretty upfront about the defects and what not.

The only reason why I could see him wanting to trade is if its a four door. Loading my 3 year old into the back of a 2 door sucks at times.

it has a rollcage and its a 2dr and he said his 2 year old getting in and out isnt working, plus its the wifey's car apparenty

I used the kid excuse to get rid of my rex. And I bought a 92 hatch for the rear seats.. But I just didn't like it as much as the rex, so I sold it.. And here I am, years later with two kids, and another rex. Of course, this time I have a pair of SUVs to handle kid duty. My son who is almost 4 loves riding in the crx, he calls it the "race car". lol

Haha sounds like a good excuse to me :p

And I ran the VIN on this car ( if anyone wants a vin run I have 9 left) and it came back clean with the exception of the odometer reading but thats because of the swap and everything, and the guy that has it right now bought it from the 5th owner two weeks ago so he didn't transfer the title to his name.

I'm a little iffey on this but I guess we'll find out tomorrow, and I think I'm going to have a friend come with me just to be on the safe side.

Is your friend's name Smith or Wesson?

why wouldn't he transfer it into his name?

A) he bought it for dirt and is trying to flip it for a profit

B) it's not titled since he bought it and it's going to be hell to register.

proceed with caution

make sure you get his copy of the bill of sale from when he bought the car.

I think he probably realized once he got it that, his kiddo was going to make that civic a pain in the ass and that he needed something bigger, i.e. a 4 dr. He's only driven the car for a week and a half and had it on craigslist since so I dunno.... we'll see. And, he apparently traded a nissan bagged truck for this car, and now i want to trade my accord for it... So I dont know if there will be a bill of sale, but as long as the owner before him signed the title then Ill have him come with my to the courthouse to get it transfered

Bill of sale doesn't mean dick in texas. Be absolutely certain to contact the previous owner and make sure everything is on the level.

Oh, PM incoming, I want you to run the rex I just bought, lol

HAHA yeah, I've been trying to get a hold of the owner before this guy just to make sure its legal, and ill be waiting on the pm lol

couldn't go see it today so it'll be tomorrow maybe, just have to work around my work schedule
