you shouldnt need the obd1 harness. well, here's what you will need from that harness. You shouldnt have to mess with the manifold
obd1 4 wire o2 sensor. the wires will hook up to the boomslang harness.
obd1 dizzy plugs from the harness. you should be able to color match. MAKE SURE THE FAT WHITE WIRE DOES NOT GET HOOKED UP TO THE SKINNY WHITE WIRE.
knock sensor will need to be hooked up as well so you might need the plug from the harness from that as well.
all in all as long as you follow direction from the harness you should be fine..

in addition to the above:
you will also need to swap the 2-wire connector for the cooling fan switch from the OBD1 harness onto the OBD0 harness - the cooling fan switch is on the thermostat housing on the OBD1 and on the back of the block on the OBD0
although not on the engine harness, you will need to extend the wires for the MAP sensor, which is on the firewall on the OBD0 car, so that the connector will reach the MAP on the OBD1, which is on top of the throttle body
same is true for the purge cut-off solenoid whcih is on the firewall (right next to the MAP) on the OBD0 car and on the back of the intake manifold on the B18B1
you will need to run the OBD0 injectors or remove the injector resistor box from the circuit with the OBD1 injectors

im swaping a d16y8 into my litle 91 hatch and id like to know what exactly id need to do this swap i have the ecu the whole wire harness and motor is it worth it to swap harnesses ?
