i have a 1993 honda prelude si h23a1 with a 5 speed transmission. the motor and transmission have 210xxx miles on them and i want to know what i should do because i want to keep my car i love it but i know the motor and tranny wont last forever. it still runs like new the car still has alot of get up and go but i want vtec i was wondering if i could make my h23a1 vtec and rebuild it or would it just be pointless??

I will be diffrent and say go and get a newer h23a1 motor and boost it... then get a h22a trany and have some fun... just me tho

if it was me personally i would probably just replace the current engine with a low mileage h22.

but if you want more power than that, your best bet would be to keep your current motor, have it rebuilt, and turbo it.

you could always get the jdm F22B dohc, iron sleeves. on another note i had a h23 prelude and i beat the piss out of it when i was a kid, those motors last and last, wait til you have problems with it, no sense in swapping out a perfectly good engine.

why make an h23 a vtec... honestly there .1 larger, who cares?

hey guys!! just wondering if anyone knows if i could drop a B20A6 engine from an 89 prelude into an 86 prelude, replacing the B20A ????
