d16a6 with a d15z6 head

I have an 88 crx that has a 91 d16a6 in it. I am going to put a d15 vtec head on it. I believe it is the d15z6 head.

Now for the question . What gasket set do I need to get? will the full gasket set from the d15 fit my d16a6? or will I have to mix and match? Also replacing the thermostat and the water pump. I will need to get those for the d16a6 correct? Also anyone know what kind of compression ratio that is going to be around?

I dont have a temp gauge in my dash that works. I have an aftermarket water temperature gauge. If that runs at about 175, that means I need a thermostat that is 170-179 correct? Or does a water temp gauge read different than the stock temp gauge?

you will need to change to timing belt too. You need the one for the vtec head and don't forget to take out the oil jet in the block this is needed for extra oil pressure for vtec. and on the thermostat just get a stock one it won't affect anything and the gauge difference is that the one you bought just tells the actual temp not a line and guess on the stock one. I would check the single wire plug under the dist. it controls the temp gauge. The head gasket should be for the vtec head and all other parts should be for the d16a6.
