Its a little hard to understand what you wrote. Writing complete sentences helps too, I almost skipped over this because of that.
If you are doing a mpfi conversion it doesn't matter what transmission you use. Keep the 4 speed if you want. They are unrelated. If you are looking for better acceleration and most likely better mpg then I would swap in an SI transmission.
