Rywire : OBD0 [mpfi] to OBD1 Conversion Package - $189.00

looking into dropping a d16z6 into my ef. the description for this harness says all i should need is the a6 harness then its just plug and play or am i missing something? i guess what im asking is will have still need to do some wiring.

Anything mechanical i can deal with but when it comes to wiring im like a monkey trying to F**K a football lol.^_^ trying figure out if its going to be cheaper to get the new harness have it/my car repined or go with this harness.again im terrible at wiring lol

Thanks in advance.

you should call them and ask - i believe that even if you give them the correct options in the "available options" portion at lower left, you will still need to do some wiring - for instance: cooling fan switch, MAP sensor and elimination of the injector resistor box - their instructions will tell you what to do with these

If its the harness package and not just a jumper it should be plug and play.

Rywire will typically include some instruction, or just give them a call, they are good people.

Goodluck.

Yep. On mine it had IACV and FITV on the D16A6 and has a single EACV on the OBD1 DOHC ZC thats in it now.

I'm doing an EF hatch right now. Distributor connector is finished up - I did the car harness side so if/when I change the dizzy it's plug and play. Will be using the D16A6 injectors with resistors for now - may change that later, who knows?

Anyway the last wiring I need to do is the OBD1 O2 sensor wiring. That amounts to wiring up the OBD1 Bosch O2 sensor to the wires on the adaptor harness that are soon to be coming through the firewall from the ECU. If it's not completed and fired up tomorrow night it will be Thursday 6/16. I'll post the results and schematics used it it will help at all.
