lol this is my job everyday.

"y = mx + b where as m = the slope and b = the y intercept. thus, if y = 2x + 3 what is the slope?"

responses i get from 8th graders, yes you read that right, 8th graders:

"math is gay."
"ill never use math."
"where the hell did m go?"
"can i have a piece of candy?"
"the slope is x."
"the answer must be negative because its a slope. slopes always go downhill."

the saddest part is a lot of these kids ive had since 6th grade and this is the 3rd time theyve been introduced to this formula. and the end product is that pretty blonde girl in that video.
