I don't have first hand experience with the plastic 580 lenses, but I have a friend that says he cant tell the difference.
i think i am gonna try the 580p's. the frame i like doesnt come with glass

Currently rocking the following Oakley glasses for different applications:
Black polarized eyepatch 2
Purple fade eyepatch 2 (got them for 30.00 - had to)
Black monster dog with ballistic rated lenses for eye protection
Gold whiskers
One other pair I forgot the name of
Lost a pair of eye jackets and e-wires
And my twin shock prescription frames. While I don't normally whore out a brand like this when I find quality I stick with it. All of the frames have taken a beating and are still around dur to their quality and the fact that I can still find either oakley replacement lenses or oem fit replacements to keep them wearable.

The wayfayer is kind of part of the style. Especially colored ones.

Go through your ex bro-in-law if you want Oakleys. I have GASCANS ( 5years of wear and tear). I need a new pair. I plan on some TWO FACE next. Polorized is the way to go. I have the Grey Polorized now but plan on Brown Polorized next time. They're a little easier on my eyes.
Didn't know that. Maybe it's area specific? My gay friends haven't said a word to me, and I've never been hit on. And at the end of the day, I don't care either way.
