aside from the wheels not really going with the car, i'd want to be a ups driver if i got to drive one of those around :D

yea.. the wheels i was kinda wondering about.. it needs some 20 in Foose wheels in front and 21s in the back..

maybe the packages wouldn't be covered in dirt and grime when they came out of the truck, unlike all other ups packages/trucks

Funny stuff.

A buddy and I talked about buying an old mail truck once and dropping a built V8 in it and back halfing the jeep. Would be pretty Badass to have a 11 or 10 second mail truck B)

Mail Jeeps aren't regular Jeeps. I rolled mine doing about 20 mph, and it blew apart like a bag of potato chips with an M80 in it.

That body work is so good, it's like CGI.

lol. I got two of those CJ8 RHD mail jeeps. Sposd to be my next project after the civic. I've gotten warnings about how top heavy those things are. Still, I think they're badass.

I drove a Mail jeep for a bit when I lived in New Hampshire. It belonged to a friend of mine, and we did welding (He was a famous welder). Our welding trips would usually involve deep-woods expeditions in the winter time. We would repair or half-tread caterpillar equipment or construction equipment. We had two snow mobiles, that looked like they were in Mad Max. his had a welder attached to the back, survival kits and rifles strapped to the sides, 6 lights on it and mine had GPS (Digital), camping gear and a roof rack box (like you find on an SUV) on the back. I had red lights on the front and extra parts for both snowmobiles. We would spend a week in the deep forests of New hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

For his around-town work, his welder and equipment would fit inside of his free mailjeep. So the back of the jeep was like a monster garage kinda thing. We welded fire escapes and sidewalk delivery doors. Commonly we would park it on the sidewalk and run the feed from the truck.

Well anyway, The wind really blew, I corrected, the wind stopped, I didn't stop correcting enough and the goddam thing blew right over. I was going about 15 mph, if. I dumped it right in front of the mall.

LOL. Ya they're not street machines. I was gonna build an offroad camping/hunting rig out of mine to avoid the dangers of a "high speed" rollover ^_^ 15 mph? surely you jest. That seems unrealistic, unless he had a suspension lift and larger than stock tires. Wind musta been blowin like my gf on payday.
