I have a 94 accord, I plan on running turbo later on becasue right now I don't have $3000 to spend on a turbo setup. Over the winter though, I want to rebuild my motor just becasue It has 140,000 miles, I would like to have a fresh motor and at the same time I would like to get it ready for turbo. I am looking for advise on what to get for the motor and possibly where.

I was thinking of getting forged pistons, new rings , gaskets, main bearings, studs and bolts, valves, valve seals, valve springs, puleys and timing belt. Is there anything else I should consider? or something I have listed I shouldn't? Also I know F22 parts are not very easy to find or cheap so if anyone has any experience with any specific parts, or knows where to get anything, lemme know. Thanks, Ian

you shouldnt need new valves, the seals are a good idea though. valve springs and retainers not bad idea but unless damanged not really necessary (im sure they dont cost too much from honda)

hone the block, pullys are not neccessary to replace, forged rods will go good with the forged pistons.

f22a1,a6, f22b? what are you working with?

it is a 4g accord site. Search them first. f22a are a dime a dozen on jdm engine sites. you can always get a new f22 block for cheap. I would recommend getting a compression test first and go from there.... leakdown....

Please check what other f22xx turbo people are doing in other sites like:

Honda-Tech.com: H22 swap or turbo the f22??

It's a 5th gen

94 ex it's the f22b1 vtec motor. It runs fine now bu has fairly high mileage and I want to turbo eventually so, time to get it ready. ALSO I am only looking to get 250 out of it, nothing crazy so what should I upgrade?

if you are wanting 250hp out of that motor you are going to have to go turbo or spend a crap ton of money trying to make it with n/a

Race engineering has everything you will need. I'm building up my F series block now, going to swap for a H23 head. I already got the head on the way :)

I could have sworn I said I was going to turbo it, but for right now I just want to get it ready for it. (Don't have tousands of dollars to spend on turbo parts) but I guess I am imagining things:D I am making a rough geustimate as I know that boost doesn't have a direct corrilation to hp but! that I will be running 8-10psi. I'm not out to make 350hp, juts want to get about 210-275 and for now get the motor ready for that.

well if you dont have thousands to spend then you might want to get out of modifing cars becuase it costs thousands of dollars. instead or rebuilding the motor you may just look for one with lower miles. f23's (98-02 accords) can be found for 375 complete no tranny. and f22's for 250 no tranny. so that is what i would do then save up 2500 or so and boost the hell out of it.

if you want a bottom end kit go to f22parts.com click on lower end ... click on stroker kit ... everything you need for the bottom...top should be inexpensive
