I have an LSVTEC set up on my 1995 Integra LS with gsr head, skunk2 manifold,stage2 skunk camshaft and OBD1 ECU my question to everyone who cares to help me is do i need to run an an extra wire for the IAB if my intake manifold is a skunk 2.
thanks in advance to everyone.

you're throwing a CEL for the IAB's? hrm...first time I've heard of that...

you sure the CEL is an IAB CEL?

yes im very sure it is, because i cut off the original plug that's from the EVAP and connect the black and yellow wire with a wire that i bought spicificly for an IAB and i then wire it to the ecu and plug the new wire to the EVAP.

Just wondering will the CEL be still on when i take the IAB wire off and put the stock EVAP wire back.

See, the only problem with that is that, to my knowledge, there isn't a CEL code for the IAB's...meaning that if they aren't connected, they won't throw a CEL. I know this for a fact because A. this site's CEL Error Code thread does not list a code for IAB's, and B. because I did not wire up IAB's on my P72 ECU on my OBD1 USDM B18C1, and did not throw a code.

I'm confused as to what you did with your EVAP...your post isn't really clear. Why did you mess with the EVAP at all?

I'm pretty sure the CEL you're throwing is for something other than your IAB's. You need to pull the code and find out what it's for.

lets just say i mess up during assemble. i was thinking that i had a GSR intake manifold which i abviously dont have.

no offense man, but if you can't tell the difference between a GSR intake manifold and any other Honda intake manifold, you don't have any place assembling a motor by yourself...

wil, youve been getting pretty sensitive lately. not everyone is a honda FREAK. While yes, i can tell the difference between a GSR and an LS intake manifold, i wouldnt say you dont belong near an engine if you cant. Not everyone has an abundance of skill in honda building. Some guys are into chevys some guys are into nissans. nothing says a honda is the first car he's wrenched on.

You are right about the IABs not throwing a code though. I just put my P13 back in my lude, and the cel doesnt come on for the IAB being unplugged. I even ran it up to 8k just for good measure.

The CEL was for the evaporative purge which is already fix thanks to civic.
