does any body know how fast a zc in an 89 hatch should run in the 1/4 mile

Dohc zc should run high 14's or low 15's

A D16Z6(very similar to the ZC) in a 90' CRX Si(around 2100lbs) runs about low 15's. My friend with the single cam ZC ran it in 14.86 in his rex.

But its all in the driver and technique!!!
If you suck at driving= blown engine.

depends on what is done to the car and to the engine, along with a lot of other variables like weight of the car, type of transmission, type and size of tires, etc. - with our 89 Civic STD hatch with DOHC ZC NA, we have run as quick as 13.45 at 99.6mph at track elevation of 4900ft - would be mid 12's at sea level - here is video of it running 13.744 at Bandimere Speedway in Denver with track elevation of 5800ft - be patient as video takes a little time to load
