Are there any long or short term effects that can possibly come from throwing 60 more HP on the tranny an old 5th gen accord?...or any older Honda for that matter? Would driving it hard after being driven "back and forth to church" for 12 years have any effects I should be aware of? I don't want to get screwed and have to pay more money than I planeed on a H22 swap. Expert Honda dudes...speak up. Thanks.

im usually the one who exploits that chance. I can see it now..."Im driving down the road with my new H22 swap...happy.....look in the rearview....see chains n shit rolling down the road....yeah......"

yes ive heard its better when you use the H22 tranny but still if I find just the motor for cheap ill just go with that for the time being. It shouldnt limit the performance too much....? Plus im poor.

for most swaps it is alot cheaper to buy a front clip or the entire swap. i would save a little more and do the complete swap at once. having to replace a tranny in the future is going to suck...

the best of the best

Limitin the performance is the least of your problems if you are doin a h22 swap the best to do is go to jazzproparts.com and get a h22a with tranny for $2500 with free shipping for 300 dollars more u can get lsd already installed. I have a 94 accord h22a with lsd from jazzproparts and it is crazzy. If your gonna do a build to the h22a you can send it to california and for $7000 you can have it fully built with the parts you want and that cost includes labor if your turboin the engine get 8 to 1 pistons and the injectors and fuel system will depend on how much boost youll be running. Youll get the motor back already broken in and tunned for max power without damaging the motor. I did it and am running high 9s low 10s at 31 pounds im still safe and hallin ass. After all that stuff is done get some rims with some tires and suspension upgrades and you wont spin that much. I went with tein there high priced but you wont regret it. If you try to go cheap you will defenetly have problems. Before i did all this i went cheap with a usdm h22 and tranny turboed and had 3rd gear blow through my firewall, through my passanger seat and out the rear window it was the most frightenin thing that has ever happened to me and i dont want anybody to go through that shit. So please take my advise and be safe!

Yeah I agree with that. But im a long way from california so I think ill let a family friend do all the installing. as far as saving to get the tranny with the H22 that sounds good too.
