Hatchback Lover
I don't know a whole lot about cars, engine-wise. I do know that I love my little Honda Civic Hatchback. I just wanted to know if anybody had some tips for me about what kind of stuff I can do for cheap on my car. I have a High performance ACT Clutch and Pressure Plate, I have a Short Ram Intake in the front, Sway Bar in the front. I have a gutted cat, at least that's what the guy at the muffler shop told me (but I'm not supposed to talk about that) and a Z-power muffler (yeah I had never heard of it either but hell it sounds good.) I also had to have an entire new transmission put on the dang thing which didn't even stop the noise that the car was making (it's like a small grinding noise when you don't have the clutch pushed in, and no it's not the throwout bearing I replaced that also.) I also had to replace the distributor but it's not special or anything. I also have 17" BBS RK's on it which make it looks sort of like a Golf, lol. I know that my car is not fast, but not a lot of other people realize that. It looks and sounds like it should be fast so I'm always getting asked to race or people are always taking off at lights trying to challenge me. I really have the desire to modify my car, but anytime I have extra money to do something performance wise I end up having to spend it on something that has broken (the ACT clutch doesn't count it was part of the whole transmission change.) I would love to do an engine swap, but money is tight right now because I'm supposed to be getting married in October. Also my fiance's brother in law is going to give me his stock turbo off of his Eagle Talon TSI as soon as he gets back from Iraq and has enough time to do it. I was wondering if that was even worth all the modifications I would have to do in the engine compartment and finding an intercooler and all those other wonderful parts, and if my stock engine could even handle it. If anybody could help me out at all I would greatly appreciate it, alot of people have told me how great this site is and I hope that it will live up to its exceptional reputation.
