I have a stock 1990 acura integra 2 door ls. The original motor has around 200,000 miles on it. I have decided to make this car my project. I need some advice on what motor i should swap and around how much this will cost me to have done. I use the car as a daily driver, but would like it to be able to put up respectable times.

Or would rebuilding my motor, as Pissedoffsol explained in his article about Building a Ls beast, be a better and cheaper choice. By the way, what is the stock motor?

your stock motor is a b18a,, and i whould just buy a jdm b18c

So you think a b18c would be a better way to go. and another question, how much boost could a jdm b18c hold, and where do am i able to get one?

sry so many ?s im new to imports

if your gona boost it i whould just buy a b18b

yea i plan to boost it in the future. would there be anything else that i would need to do the swap besides the motor and components.

what do you mean,,?.. but buy the b18b hook it up to your stock tranny it will all bolt right in but you will need to convert to obd1, no big deal then buy a good name brand turbo kit,

what is obd 1? My stock tranny's clutch isnt that good, also it isnt hydraulic, so should i just rebuild the tranny or get the one that comes with the motor.

the b18c is a vtec motor the b18b is not, and your car is cable as far as trannys so you either need a new tranny thats cable or you will have to convert to hydro tranny because the b18b and b18c both are hydro trannys,, and your car is obd0 so you will need to convert it to obd1 . thats the wires and ecu

so i must use the wires and ecu that come with the b18b obd1 motor i will purchase. also how hard is it to covert to hydro tranny

alright in that case i must rebuild the tranny, at least the clutch.

Just keep the motor you have in there. No sense in replacing it with another ls. Get a fresh bore get some new pistons and rods and turbo the hell out of it. Or if your feeling adventurous build an ls/vtec and boost the hell out of that .

Hello, My name is Dustin and I am very new to this site but I just picked up a '92 gs-r that is in very straight shape, and I could really use some help. Problem is that the ls/vtec (b18a / 30coded head) is not running; ie. I can't get the thing to start. I read somewhere that if they didn't keep the gs-r timing belt and water pump that could have caused a problem among other things, like drilling an extra hole and having the right length head mount bolts. Where should I start???

Novice jdm guy start your own thread , DO NOT JACK OTHER PEOPLE THREADS but since you did why did you buy a S.E.P.
