Hi guys i always wanted a boosted crx or civic, im searching around and just havnt found one i like yet, so my question is this, what crx should i look for and then boost my self? there are so many years and versions of the crx i would like to save time and effort by buying the best one for bolting a turbo kit onto, which brings me to part 2 of this question, if low 12s are all i want to run and maintain the AC and daily drivability what turbo kit should i look into?

there's only 2 different body styles of the crx, and only a couple trim levels.

the real question is, how much do you have to spend, and how much of the work can you do your self

Are you going custom or trying to get something that supposedly just bolts on?

Hi the route I ended up having to go is with out the AC in its stock location, its using a custom manifold with a big 16g turbo, the block is apart now it will be using stock crank with scat rods and srp forged pistons and arp head bolts with cometic head gasket, oh and before i forget the motor is a swapped D16z6. i will work on the ac issue later perhaps there is a way to mount it on the other side of the block im not sure at this point, how ever its not important untill after the car is assembled and tuned.

the ac hat to run off of the crank pully you have 3 ways to go 1 you buy a ac compatable turbo manifold. 2 you make a drop bracket for the ac compressor (good luck it has to line up perfect and you have to find an odd belt to fit it) or. 3 the most easy rout just dont run the ac and rool the windows down

You can't mount the compressor on the other side of the block, period.

I've also never heard of this 'drop bracket'...any more info?

what do you mean by the other side do you meas the passenger sede or do you mean the back between the fire wall and the motor eather was you cant do it if the pullys arnt alined perfect then you will sling belts, by drop bracket i mean you make/fabricate a bracket that moves the compresor down so that it clears the manifold /turbo , if you have to run ac your best/safest way to go is buy a manifold that is ac compatable

Thanks guys, i will let yah know how i make out, the manifold i have now is a custom built one and flows very well so i wont be changing out that, i may look into a drop bracket design, thanks alot for the tips.
