I been told by a couple honda owners that supposedly did it its fine but i want some people on here to tell me too

is it ok to cut a couple coils out of the springs in my 93 Accord EX to lower it a couple inches?

not looking to go far just a little drop

Dont need any rubbin :)

allright ill do it tomorrow thanks dude hahaha

really i just thought about it i have a car i can get another set of springs off of if it dont turn out good so fuck it ima gofor it

just make sure you cut them all the same

Honestly, I would recommend buying some cheap springs online rather than cutting your stock ones. Cutting the springs to lower the car will work, but it's not really the best idea since it messes with the spring rates. Your car will probably end up with a pretty crappy ride.

Springs are dirt cheap on eBay, and since you have to take apart the spring/shock assembly to cut them anyway, you might as well be putting new springs on.

That's my 2 cents...take it or leave it...

One more thing to consider...

When it comes time to sell your car the new owner might not want it to be lowered. If you cut the stock springs than you're SOL, but if you take the stock ones off and put some cheap lowering springs on, then you have the option of putting them back on or giving them to the buyer when you sell it.

Yea that's true i waited on it and iv got some springs on order even tho my car will never be for sale ill burn it at one of my summer partys before that

my first car i ever drove was a ford escort when i was about 12 on my junkyard when i blew the engine we set it on fire as a goodbye to my escort friend hahaha

Please don't cut the springs only bad things will happen.. I did it many years ago before I knew anything about cars, and I've never had a car that rode as bad as that one. It fucks up the spring rates and blows your shocks as an added benefit.

ah and dude what ever happened to you 88 Lude my buddy wants to know cause he needs power steering parts

LOL! Sorry, your buddy is out of luck there, I crashed that thing like 5 years ago...

Fun car though! Four wheel steering FTW! :D

I have a set of Eibach springs I'll sell you real cheap if the cutting thing didn't work out - They're from a 93 Accord EX coupe
