why are you bumping his thread?...

cage looks good mike :) i need to get some HPDE time with my car before i get my cage. maybe i can get a track even before it gets too cold, i need a helmet though :(

paint your cage bish. paint the rest of the car while youre at it. that clear coat looks nasty. mmmm flat black it and paint your rims bronze = sex

sounds like a fun car!

there is a delsol around here with B16 pistons rods headwork JRSC and NOS that kills it. I have seen him go low 12's at the track on street tires.
i don't think he's into straight line racing...

yeah, thats a fact....i really dont think hes worried about those del sol's with "NAWS" when hes also got an evo and a bmw.....hmmmm.

nice sol-cage haha i made funny...

Its straight line when going down the front straight. :)

Thanks for the comments guys.

I should have all padding and the roof attached this weekend. Track day coming up on the 7th of Oct at Sears/Infineon, I'll be instructing in this car. I'll probably take pics and have some incar footage to go along with it. :)

cage looks sweeeet..but the welds are shit...are there any updated pix of whats done?

what steering wheel is that, and how much do thry run?
It is an NRG wheel. I dont' remember what it cost. I got the hub and the wheel at the same time.

Yes, I did. I'm using the io/port mount.

i remember seeing the vids.. but i thought that was before the cage.. :shrug2: maybe not
The old vids are the suction cup mount on the windsheild. The new vids, where you can tell the camer is behind me, is on the new mount. Here is a video:

I didn't do the welds, but they appeared to be ok. I've had others look at it and I haven't heard anything negative about the welds (other cage builders as well). What part were you talking about? I'm very curious as this thing is supposed to keep me alive. :)

i wouldnt worry about it. ive driven the car. its a fucking sled! lol. very stiff.
Ya, but bad welds don't bend, they'll just break when I roll the car. But ya, the car is stiff as fuck with cage now. Ian likes it stiff. ;)

BTW, are there any pics of this painted?
I have replaced the passenger seat with an FIA approved fixed bucket, it only had that seat in for that day. I have also added more padding since.
