I have a dilema, I am putting a B18A in my 90 si hatch and dont know which axles to get...

Some have said to use 90-91 teg axles, others say if the car is lowered then use 86-89 teg axles. The car is stock height now, but I will lower it in the future, which ones should I use?

Also, should I get an air intake for a 90 civic? or for the 90 integra?

Thanks

Did my LS B18 swap in my 90 Civic DX hatch this weekend. I used 89 model Integra axles since my car is already lowered 1.5". I also had to put in 90 model Integra spindles/rotors/calipers since my car apparently was originally a 4 speed. Its all good now though cause I got the larger front calipers in the process too to help slow me down....:D Too bad I had to sacrifice my just newly aquired VX 13" rims since they no longer fit the front due to the larger calipers.....
Make sure your hatch is a factory 5 speed or you will need the Teg front spindles also for the axles to fit the wheel bearing splines.
On the axles, from what I have read, the 90-91 Teg axles will work OK until you lower the car, then they put extra outward pressure against your front wheel bearings and make them wear out much faster. If you plan to lower the car, you might want to get that done first before you spend the extra $$$ for the 90-91 axles, then have to turn around when you lower the car and buy another set of axles.....just my .02's worth though, its your decision to make.
Oh yea, if you bought some of the lifetime guarantee $150.00 Ebay steel motor mounts, then expect to have a lot of fun getting them installed and lined up properly. They are not consumer friendly designed to be an easy install........but they will work......if you have plenty of time to work with them, a large hammer, and plenty of wheel bearing grease. We did my complete swap in 11 hrs., which includes pulling the D series motor and tranny, and pulling the 90 model Teg axles from a donor car, and would have been driving it that night if the B18 good deal engine I got had not had a blown head gasket........
I used the Integra cold air intake on mine. You will be better running the short ram kit unless you never plan to run the car when it rains. Cold Air intakes that pull up from in front of your passenger tire tend to give your motor Hydro Lock when you hit deep water during a rain storm.......:(

Nope, nothing stolen, this one actually took us longer since it was our first 90 model hatch LS conversion. Its my daily driver.
We usually do the 92 up hatch LS conversions in about 8 hrs.............:)
It helps to have air tools, car lift, and past experience and plenty of Integra parts cars..... :D
Our next project is an LS B18 5 speed swap into a 1988 Chevy Sprint 4 door....Sleeper or what?????

I have the same swap in mine. everything is good on mine using the stock 90-91 teg axles. since you have the Si hatch, you don't hafta change your spindles. all you have to do is pry the dust covers off the back side of your hub (spindle). that will make enough clearance for the axles when you lower your car.
