Occasionally I try to post something usefull for ya'll. Here is another attempt.
If ever you dog gets skunked like my knuckle head hound did at quarter to five this morning, here is the solution (literally):
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1 tsp Dish Soap
Myself I put the hound in the tub with some warm water that had previously been mixed with a generous helping of Baking Soda. My hound is a long thick haired hound so you may want to consider how much a lesser furred beast can take on their skin. Once in the tub I rinsed the affected areas with this solution.
Its not a wax on wax off fix. It took a couple goes but man it got the job done.
Be advised though, don't store this stuff it will build pressure and go boom. Also don't get in the dog's eyes or mouth if you can help it.
On the other hand the Rez the Teg blog will be delayed another week. My poor car was at ground zero when the fucking skunk let fly. For the record the solution also works on bumpers and quarter panels. Little bastard... I could barely access the space with my fucking respirator. The poor dog looked like me the first time i got hit with CS gas. But that is another story...
