How about we just keep buying fuel just like we have been for the last century. Striking does nothing in one day, because everyone will eventually buy the gas they didnt buy "that" day, on another day and double the output sales of gasoline on such day. The economy is terrible, and we are already see'ing signs of a "depression" in the near future. There is nothing we can do about it, except buy Toyota Prius' and get 45mpg.
