can someone help out this noob with his first computer build

Ya, have no clue, only been in IT for a fortune 100 company for the last 15 years. Probably built more pc's then you've gotten laid, but hey, what do I know. right. Thanks for backing me up, I love how some people think they know what they are doing....BIOS is important, but only when it come...

I guess smelly piece of crap = the truth. Anyway bios is not a big deal. It really depends on what you are going to be hooking up to it and what your using it for. Its not crucial for it to be up to date.

Well, if you buy an ABIT MB, it has an awesome windows bios flash utility that works great. Bios isnt THAT important. Only if you have a really outdated bios and need to install a big hard drive is where you could run into problems.

you can use a drill and drill out the rivets, then tap it for a screw

    y8 manifold

To answer your question, yes, they are basically the same. I have a y8 mani on my z6 head now. The Z6 will flow better for FI though in stock form.

on your pic, that is just the breather (it goes back into the intake pre-throttle body), the pcv is on the right, and that goes post throttle body. It will make a difference. :)

    y8 manifold

that is definitly NOT the pcv. Its the thicker one further to the right, on the mani.

dude, the hole on the intake just holds it in place. It doesnt actualy "enter" the intake at the runner. One end goes into the valve cover, the other to a "box" directly under the intake.
