Replaced head gasket, still have a leak

It doesn't seem to be coming from the cam seals. I am not sure how to check to see if the block/head is warped (I hope they aren't). No coolant is leaking, just oil. And there hasn't been any oil in the coolant and vice versa. Thanks for the replies so far.

Replaced head gasket, still have a leak

Hello out there. I noticed a while ago, that there was a small dribble of oil between my head and block on the front corner on the distributor side of the motor. I assumed that it was the head gasket, so I ordered a new Buddy Club gasket, and a set of ARP head studs. We took the head off (it was...

    obd1-obd2 harness question

Yeah, if you can get the Integra harness for reasonably cheap, it would be well worth it. In my case, I just wasn't able to find a cheap harness in time to do the swap, so I just used my stock harness, and scavenged the OBD2 plugs off the donor cars harness, and it runs just fine. I would not...

B18C-R in EG won't pull at the top of 4th or 5th

Hell yes, so am I. It is so nice to be able to pull through all the gears. Yesterday on the highway there was a long open stretch so I got on it. Got a little over 130 mph before I ran out of room, but I will tell you this, the car was still pulling, HARD, at the time I had to let off the gas...

    leaking oil

Cool, oil leaks drive me nuts. I don't want to have to add oil to my car every couple of days like i'm driving some old beater that blows oil through the motor. But leaks aren't as bad as burning oil, you can always plug a leak. What kind of cams are you going to put in? I've heard that to...

    obd1-obd2 harness question

Yeah from what I've heard, it is damn near impossible to use that Si harness because it is one piece and not two like the EG civic and Integra. It would be a lot easier to use an OBD2 integra harness, but It is possible to use your stock engine harness if you change over a couple of plugs from...

    leaking oil

The cam seals are at the end by the distributor. I am not sure what it is called, but there is a seal on the head, on the other side by the cam gears. If you know that it is leaking from your head, you can get an entire set of all the gaskets and seals for the head. This is probably a good...

B18C-R in EG won't pull at the top of 4th or 5th

Well, I figured it out, and I feel like an idiot, but at least it didn't cost me any money to fix. When I read how to wire a JDM solenoid without the VTPS for VTEC, I missunderstood what it was saying. It said to splice the VTPS wire coming from D6 into the VTS wire coming from A4, and then to...

    93 civic cx withe b18c/r

He is probably right about getting the jumper harness and running the OBD2 p73 (ITR) being the most perfect for the motor (since it is the ecu for the motor). Katman at ff-sqaud.com sells the conversion harness for about $150. I have the same swap in my hatchback, and at first I was running my...

B18C-R in EG won't pull at the top of 4th or 5th

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have tried swapping out the ECU for a stock P30 (from a JDM Si-r), and that didn't solve the problem. I check my oil level all the time, and it is always full. What would be causing oil pressure loss just in the higher gears? If it was an oil pressure...

B18C-R in EG won't pull at the top of 4th or 5th

How's it going? I recently put a JDM B18C-r into my 1992 civic DX hatch. I am running my stock P06 ECU that I had chipped, converted to VTEC, and set to stock ITR map specs. The problem that I am having is that when I am accelerating hard in third gear, and then shift to 4th, at about 7200 RPM...
