I've seen CARB legal turbos from Edelbrock... exemption applies to the motor not the chassis. Any turbo setup should do .. but a Cali smog ref would hafta BAR it for you to be legal.
I have a stock exhaust on my ex motor ... on 1 end of the a-pipe are 2 flange rings that go to the exhaust mani; I need 1 on the other side of the a-pipe that goes to the catalyst, a 1 gasket/donut.
Honda says this piece is either-
p/n 18229-s01-x01 (45 mm In.diameter x 58 mm outer dia.) or...
You cannot legally swap an earlier model year motor into a newer vehicle. So your ok if they don't check. Your car will need to blow readings within the parameters allowed & you need to have smog equipment for your model year - perhaps use the SI (DOHCB16A2) parts to get there - pre/post cat o2...
any help on the CEL for - (65) 2ndary o2sensor circuit heater ... I wired'em into the ecu & ran the wire to the center console ... wherever I wired the heaters is wrong, so where can I wire these 2 to get my o2 functional?
I swapped a d16y8 in place of the d16y7 on my 99 civic.
Come to find out motor's originally an automatic, yet the swap was ok ... everything bolted fine to the ecu (p2p for 5speed tranny)

I have 2 CEL codes - 2ndary o2sensor circuit & IAC circuit.
I think if I remove it & clean it...
why won't the crank work ... are you thinking deck height? Other than crank, the b16 & the b18 are the same.
If your running on the street, the best way to achieve your hp...
use a longer crank b18. You could use a shorter rod & move the oil ring up on the piston, to get a better r/s ratio...
