depends man. if you wanna run a turbo....or go all stock....ifs its a daily driver...or a track car....in my opinion easiest and prolly what your looking for is a B16A it deleviers 160 hp i believe...is good as a daily driver and there is alot of room for upgrade...if you want to turbo go...
nah i took a d16Y7 and put a Y8 head on it. used all stock everything just had to get an 1998EX computer...my vtech works fine now. i didnt change distributers but i was told i needed the tech dizzy....but i tried it anyways and it works good. good pull for a sohc
man i see your from peterbourgh go down to ajax to doms scrap yard just off the 401. its full of hondas. and ill guarentee you will find one if not just go to toronto its only an hour and 20 min from you. if all else fails just order one off the internet
yah think im going to have to just get a wiring harness for a ex in the 96-98 OBD2A era. thanks for the advise man and if you know where i can pick up a ecu or if anyone know let me know :)

hey, i put a Y8 head on my 1996 civic cx the original computer is OBD2A but i was given a OBD2B computer with my head. Im just wondering if anyone knows an easy way for me to get the right cpu.(or make my OBD2 one work) Can i not just go get a 1996 EX or Si computer. Does anyone kow if that will...
i know what ya mean man my cars a real eye sore...1996 cx with some rust on back and dents everywhere.....going to do the body work once i get a new place with a garage....but i am happy that i know my engine is rebuilt and solid as fuck for a D.D
