You can cut the wires from the back of the Kenwood headunit so you have the correct colors. Then just match them up to any new headunit.

To answer the question... I would face the subs towards the back if possible. And Perfect subs are designed for sealed enclosures. If you put them in a slotted box it might ruin the suspension. If you wanted to do the two box setup here is a link of a system like that...

I have a Viper 500, and they also offer an optional doppler motion sensor. I used to have it set so sensitive that anyone tapping the car would set it off, or anyone driving by for that matter (even quiet cars).

I'm sorry there's something about running 14's and getting 70 MPG that makes me not wanna say fuck my motorcycle. :P

Buy a reliable Honda for $2500, and use it for a bad weather vehicle. Spend the other $6000 on a nice motorcycle (Kawasaki ZX9, Yamaha R6, Honda CBR900, Suzuki GSXR 750 - in that price range) and you'll beat all of the cars mentioned. :P

The highest end Hollywood subs are pretty loud.. but not at all designed for sound quality. I'm also guessing their reliability factor is a bit lower than that of JL Audio too. I've never dealt with their amplifiers, so I can't comment on that one. Overpowering subs is only a good idea if 1)...

Right now I've got two Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 12's behind the seats of my Del Sol, with a Cadence Z7000 amplifier (1500 watts rms :o ). I'm waiting to see how well it does on the meter...

Was it an actual dB drag race? Because last season they didn't do power classes, only IASCA did. Either way not bad for two Kenwood 10's! What were the other people running?

I used to have a Suzuki Swift, which is basically a clone of a Geo Metro so it's similar. I had a 4" component set up front (Rockford Fosgate), on a RF Punch 250.2 amplifier, and in the trunk I had two HE 12's with a RF Power BD500.1 amplifier. It metered at 146.2 decibels, and the components...

The light behind them burnt out, and I want to alter them slightly to mount a remote bass gain knob for my amplifier. Does it really matter? :P

How would I go about removing the A/C controls from the dash? I have a '93 Del Sol Si. I'm hoping I don't have to take out the whole dash :blink:

It looks like all of the control arm bushings on my car are shot. I can imagine the dealership telling me I need whole new control arms, and rip me off... but the only kits I can find online are made by Energy Suspension (the Hyper-flex series). Does anyone have opinions of these before I...
