I need to do the head gasket on my other (94 Civic D15B7) now but can't seem to find the MLS gasket for a reasonable price this time around.
Do all of the D15 series engines take the same head gasket? I keep finding the D15Z1 gasket set at a good price.
I would skip the whole bit about bending the ground electrode back in fourth. Just weakens the metal and you could end up having the electorode break off and bounce around the cylinder.
The stock V-Power plugs are grooved and eliminate the need for this anyway..
I can't say for sure about Honda's because I'm new to that arena. But typically a CD ignition box usually is a good investment on FI motors. Also, usually a waste of money on NA motors.

And I couldn't wrap my head around how it could be the rings and still have good compression. This makes me want to think a heavier oil (10w40 perhaps in the hot summer)...
You know, when I was checking with machine shops one guy actually said he wouldn't recommend doing the valve seals. Said sometimes with high mile motors, they'll start burning oil.
So is the oil leaking past the seals (on the intake side I guess)?
I guess I'll just keep an eye on the oil...

I havn't had this car too long, but I'm caught up on maintenance.
I've been noticing blue smoke under heavyish acceleration. Even if I baby it, I seem to go thru about a quart every 150-200 miles.
Compression test comes up with 180psi across...
