my buddy did my d16z6 swap in my 92 dx civic hatch. It took hours literally (tyler bettinger extreme imports springfield missouri). But we are talking about obd2 to obd1 plus the swap. Is he capable of doing the electrical work without code throw?

Hello! look at his post it says b16a2 it could be obd1. p28 ecu will fit with teh adapter harness and a JDM p30 will fit. So what the dealy.

I agree the type r (stock) is set up with all motor type cams and higher compression pistons. Its nice to say you have a type r lol but if you are going to turbo Go with the cheaper engine. If you want more displacement for more potential horse power get a b20!

Every thing should be a direct fit with the exclusion fo the console the shift linkage, shifter, a few mounts and possbily electrical. I would definately seek the guidance of a mechanic in this case. I would deinately kill my wife if I had one and she had done that.

You need to spluge and take it to a ASE mechanic. Someone who knows honda's and get ready to pay 50 bucks an hour. If your block is cracked OUCH!! at least you have a vtec head. Buy a b20!

Honda Accurate is this shop that does excellent work with swaps, he wants to charge me like 900 for the swap no including electrical. The Car is a 96 ex coupe the swap is a 92-95 b16sir2. This guy wants 900 for the work plus 700 for electrical I have every part he needs . IS THIS AN INSANE...

hmotorsonline is where i got mine. Came with a crack in the oilpan and They gave me an automatic (without tranny) which is a 150 hp model 5million series with higher torque cams. Ask specifically what you want. Or else you will get screwed.

Damn! Maybe you screwed your valve guides as well? White smoke could mean a couple things. Water in your oil and or fuel problem.
