thanks for the info, I was actually down stairs attempting this on a P08 intake manifold I had laying around, and it's a PITA but it will work then all I need is the TB. we'll see which way I go.
hmm... the same except the vacuum port on the intake manifold that goes to the FPR is in a different location and the stamp will say P75. This Referee is a real dick he wouldn't pass my JDM D15B Vtec so I'm going to put a B16A in just to pass. His excuse; the D15B doesn't match any know US...
Like the title says. I need an OBD1 intake manifold and throttle body from a USDM OBD1 Del Sol VTEC to pass the state referee inspection in California. Let me know what you have basically what I need is a B16 intake manifold with the purge control solenoid and a b16 throttle body that's setup...
the B16A3 is OBD-I, has the MAP sensor attached to the throttle body, and has a purge control solenoid. The JDM B16A intake manifold doesn't have the purge control solenoid system since they don't use the in japan, an the map sensor is attached to the fire wall (as in the JDM SiR-II's) I would...
hmotorsonline.com, complete B16A swap. all you'll need is a throttle cable bracket from innovative mounts, new coolant hoses, and wire in the knock sensor.
how about money plus a trade for my JDM B16A intake manifold and a fuel rail?
I just figured since it's all ready missing the fuel rail and TB it's not much further from missing the whole intake manifold. just sell it as a short block.
when i say oiling problems i'm refering to performance applications not stock. when you put Y8's under stress they're prone to screw up bearings due to it's inferior oiling system. anyone who works with d-series motors will stand by this claim. If you're that sentimantal about your motor go...
The D16Y8 has oiling problems, but swapping it into a 92-95 civic you would only have to use an OBD1 distributer. everything else you can use the OEM stuff from the motor you pull out. The P28 ECU is what you'll need chipped preferably with the D16Y8 fuel maps.
do not use JB weld, I just had to remove that crap from my cousins trans. pan she bought it from some guy that tried to fix the problem that way. of course this was also a steel transmission pan so I just welded it, it was leaking like crazy.
