my swap didnt come with an vtec oil pressure switch, so i'm wondering if i can use any other DOHC vtec switches?? or just any vtec switches?? are the vtec oil pressure switch and vtec solenoid the same thing?? or different?? and where can i find these?? i know i'm also gonna need a harness for...
hrm...where'd you find the info on?? haha see..thats why i'm so confused, half the forums will be sayin "yes they have an immobilizer," and the other half will be like "no, no immobilizer," and i'm stuck lol
cool thanks...so the 97-98 p5m ecu's wouldnt have one?? i just got done with a swap..and imma need a 97+ ecu to pass emissions..95 h22 in a 97 accord..so yea thats the only reason why i was wondering
kk i know the usdm ecus have the immobilizer in them and the jdm ecus have the speed limiter in them, but do jdm ecus also have the immobilizer?? i've been checking different forums and been gettin mixed answers, so i just need to know.. do jdm ecus have the immobilizer??
i heard that the p72 can also be used with the swap...is it compatible?? and i need to get this straightin out...i know USDM ecus' come with the immobilizer...how about the JDM ecus'?? i've been getting mixed answers and need to know which is correct

it's the sixth post down, including the first one..
alright, i'm converting to obd1 and now i gotta worry about passing the emissions part lol. any ideas of how to pass emissions?? i'm from wi. my car is a 97 and the motor is a 92-95 h22a.
thanks, but wouldnt a 96 motor be considered obd2?? wouldnt that also mean that the TCM would be with the ECU?? connected i mean or joined...and yes i kinda figured it wouldnt work, do you know anywhere or any site that i can try to get the ECU from?? a 96 ECU that is??
let me rephrase this now.... will an h23 ecu work with an h22 motor?? both are 96's..my car is automatic..and from what i've been hearing..the vtec models for that year only came in manual...true?? my motor is a jdm motor.
will the usdm ecu work on the jdm motor?? i have a 96 jdm prelude motor in my 97 accord (so their both obd2) and the ecu that came with the swap was for manuals (i left it auto). i've found a couple 96 usdm A/T ecu's but was wondering if it will actually work on the jdm motor?
