I'm getting a shaking in the steering wheel when I brake. It's more prominent when braking lightly. Here's the story... I put on new rotors, put on winter tires/rims and had no issue at all. After a couple of weeks I swapped the rear wheels with the fronts and now there is vibration when...
I'm wondering now if it could be the proportioning valve which has failed. Perhaps the pressure to the rear brakes is too excessive at the low pedal pressure that I apply at low speeds, therefore they are squealing?? Does this make sense to anyone else?
Need some help people,
My rear drum brakes on my 92 civic are squealing when braking. I've checked the shoes and they're basicly new. The squealing happens at very low speeds, so basicly when the car is almost coming to a stop. Could it be that the brake shoes are no good? ie: the compound...
I'd try and spin the fan by hand to see if it's seized. If the motor is seized then it will draw too much current and blow the fuse. If that's not the problem, then you might have a short to ground in the fan wiring; either before the relay or after.
I've got a JDM H22a in my 93 Si Hatch and it's a sweeet setup. The extra weight in the front is not that noticable and I'm still running the stock suspension. Mind you it won't handle like my 2" lower CRX but I'm sure with suspension mods it will get close. Although the power to weight ratio...
Sorry to jack...
So when you say dyno with just regular lobes, do you mean disable vtec and do a run?? How do you do a run with just vtec lobes?? force vtec always on?
I'm going to dyno my H22 soon and just want to confirm this.
If your fuel pump is not priming I'd double check the main relay. Just because it clicks doesn't necessarily mean it's working. The solder connections inside tend to break. I'd rip out the relay and resolder all the connections.
I suggest you install them now... :P
Did you get the ball joints for the upper control arms too? If not I'd suggest replacing those aswell considering you're already gonna have the stuff ripped apart
time to check your distributor.. Considering tacho signal is coming from the distributor. I'd say you've got an ignition problem. You'll probably have to replace the dizzy..
