d15b!

92 civic with jdm d15b. will not rev past 4800 which is when vtec is supposed to kick in. i put a different ecu in where vtec was supposed to kick in a 5800 and thats where it stops reving. both ecu's chipped to not look for an o2 but still throwing o2 code. should i just run it into a wall

with stock p28 it still wouldnt rev past 4800. i dont get it!

whats the differenc in d15b pistons and d16z6 pistons

ive got a d15b and i want just a little more power out of it. im leaning away from going turbo only because if something happens im screwed.

i just tested the p28 and it worked fine. is there any way i can around that to make the po6 work right

my buddy has a p28 so ill ask him. but my ecu worked fine with the z6 before it was chipped. i had it chipped after i put the d15b in but it still wouldnt rev past 4800 before it was chipped

i hooked up everything exactly the way it was with the z6 in. its actually a common problem but noone knows how to figure it out

everything was added and tuned correctly

no they dont. the head internals on the d15b head look nothing like the z6 head. thr head code on the d15b is '96' but they are different

if its a d15b, more than likely it'll say vtec on the valve cover

is it worth it to put a z6 head on a d15b block

could it be that because the d15b has two stage vtec?!

it throws a vtec selinoid code but it didnt do it when i had the z6 in there. i dont know. its a headache

you can get belt and everything for a z6. my buddy did boost on his and was pushing 8 lbs all day. he liked it. it was a pretty fun car. you just dont wanna do too much boost cuz then you have to get internals and noone really makes internals for a d15b
