i have a 93 civic hatch i had a b18b in it and i took it out and used the harness for it on a b16a2 and i plugged everything in and it starts but wont go over 5500k and vtec hooked up and i still have a check light on can anyone tell me what might be wrong

i just put a sir2 b16 in my drag crx and when it hits vtec it just spits i change ecu's and it didnt help can anyone help me with my problem
