00 d16y8 enine into 96 civic hatch? configs and need some help?

When i do the 2000 d16y8 swap into my 96 civic hatch. would i have to get a ob2a jumper for it? or will it plug and play? someone told me that when swaping the d16y8 into my hatch. they run different obd generations and some things may not work cooperatley. cause my hatch is a obd2a while the engine is a obd2b? so will it run alright?really need some advices. asap. and will the wire diagram be the same?

If you are replacing a blown 96' d16y8 with the 00' with a y8 then you can just use your stock engine harness and ecu. I may be wrong but I think obd2b cars have a 3 wire IACV. In that case just reuse the stock one.

If you are replacing something other than a y8, then yes, you need to buy the jumper harness.
