1992 Honda Civic LX Engine Swap??

I have the d15 in this car and I am curious which is the easiest engine swap for this car? My engine died after 270xxx miles so I need to do a cheap and easy swap and I would like to increase in performace a little right off the back, but also have a engine I can easily modify. Pleas help me.

you can do pretty much anything you want in that car... none of it is overly hard

And a D16Z6 or B16 are your best bets here. The D16Z6 will be the absolute easiest...
