1993 civic lx transmission to a 16dy8 engine??

I have a civic 1993 lx with a engine in it but i need to change it because the engine has 200,000 miles in it and it seems to be loosing power any way will a d16y8 engine fit the stock automatic transmission in the 93 lx im guessing yes but i dont want to mess with it if it doesnt just want to make sure it does .....any response appreciated and also will i have to change other components such as the dizzy and or the intake manifold?????

Yes the D16y8 will work in it, but this is a tech question not a classified ad.
You will need all the necessities with the D16y8. Intake, Exaust manifolds, dizzy, all of that including the wiring harness, and ECU. Your basically just swapping, but using the same transmission.

can i just swap the block and head and use the lx manifold, computer, exhaust manifold , and dizzy will that work im curious..... and i say this because the head is not a vtec head is a dx head and there no need for a vtec comp. any reply appreciated
