1994 Integra ls. HELP!

Hi there. i have a 1994 Integra ls.

it has a b18b1 Non v-tec engine.
the problem is i have never worked on a honda before and don't know what i'm doing. the head gasket is blown but i just pulled out the entire engine and am going to go pick up a new b18b1 non v-tec engine for 450 bucks this weekend.

how hard is it to replace a head gasket incase i want to keep the old engine for a spare, and how do you take off the head on one of these?

if i wanted to put a v-tec on the pulled engine what would i have to do?

Your first step here should be to purchase a manual for your car. The actual service manual is best, but a Haynes or Chilton manual will work fine. It will have detailed instructions on how to remove the head, torque specs, etc.

As for how to install a VTEC head, try running a search on this, or try looking in the FAQ section. We have several write-ups here on how to do this...
