Please don't murder me for asking this.

On my 97 Accord the maintenance required light is on, however the check engine light is off. Anybody know whats going on?:confused:
I'm a poor college student so I can't afford to get it looked at.
 
im not real sure on the accord but just call a honda dealership and ask they can tell you, but on the civic theres a place in the gauge cluster were you just push a button
 
Theres a way to press the odometer button to clear it. Call a dealership and they should be able to tell you.
 
Hold the trip/odometer button in before you start it, then start it up and hold it for about 10 seconds and it should go out.
