1997 honda prelude

im about to buy a 1997 honda prelude h22 vtec 5 speed does anyone know of any major problems or recalls on this car...just curious

i have an 01' and it has a recall on the tranny up to 100,000 miles but i think its only for the 00' --01' prelude and oddysy-- you might check into the years they recalled them but i know they recalled mine.we got a letter in the mail from honda .but all in all i love that car


yeah i just checked our letter and its for those two years and only for the auto.so you should be good if you get one(also for the accord)

All Prelude transmissions have problems. The SS automatics are junk, and the 5 speeds have synchro problems if driven hard. The best place for Prelude info right now has to be hpoa.org. Honda Prelude Owners Association?
