1998 ITR #276, 45k original miles. I've got about $9070 worth of extras into it, and I was asking $22k Now 20k!. Car is in the greater Boston area. Additional pictures, dyno plot, and parts list available. Many spares + extras. VIN to those who are serious!

its a safety thing... if you didnt notice... the car is on a road course.... people tape the glass so incase some random peice of debris comes up and breaks a light or whatever the tape will keep it from getting all over the track (into other peoples tires, etc)... i have also seen people cover the entire light, lip area, front side of the mirrors, etc. with tape to keep any rocks or debris from chipping them

this seems a little "excessive" to me.

so im going to assume that there is ALOT of debris that you encounter while on these "road courses"

and so that is why everyone is taping up their shit.

Big, hot pieces of dense rubber can cause some good damage to cars.

Race tires once they heat cycle can pick up anything (rocks, pebbles, bits of glass, shards, tire flopsom, etc) and throw it at other cars behind and to the sides.

Broken windshields, dents, chunks of stuff bonded to your car .. all kinds of fun.

most of us tape our headlights / corner lights in the hopes one doesnt explode from debris + scatter it all over the tires, inside cars, or on the track.

sounds great huh? :)
 
just noticed that you have what looks to be an SCDA tech inspect sticker and number on the car
i may have seen you before... what date/track was that at??

I forget.... could be either the spring or fall event up at NHIS.

I'm half thinking about putting the car back to stock + selling off all the aftermarket junk seperately.
