i have a 90 si hatch with a 91 b18a1, had the engine in for a few months now but since day one its had a cold idle of around 3000 rpm. i really dont think its supposed to be that high but i could be wrong. the car idles just fine at 700 rpm when warmed up, ive cleaned the iacv and replaced the coolant sensor in the head.
does the coolant sensor in the back of the block controll the cold idle or does the sensor in the head? and does it matter which way round the 2 wires go on the sensor in the block?
