4 Plug P72 ecu???

i have a jdm p72 ecu it has 4 slot on instead of three like p28 whats the 4th slot 4????

It's an OBD II ECU, and it really is only three, one isn't used.

it plugs up to my wire harness so i dont think its OBD2 and it not auotmatic because of the last 3 digits on the ecu

It's an auto if it plugs in and has an extra spot for a plug.

so will it run diffrent if i had a manuel ECU ...... I mean whats the diffrence??...will my car run diffrent???.....the motor is a b18b in 94 si hatch so give mer some info

the is the ecu number coming off the ecu

you will throw code 19 for the lock-up solenoid....

USDM auto's usually end with a 5....
JDM auto's usually end with a 0 or 1.

you're ends in a 1.... looks like you got an auto.


you can modify the auto ecu to not throw the code (basically disabling the automatic features)
If you're good with electronics, RP18 needs to be lowered in value from 2.4k to 1.4k ohms. solder in a resistor of some sort. i'm not electronic genius, so don't ask me how. lol but it can, and has been done.

if it were me, i'd just chip my p28 that i already have from the si hatch, and download crome and start tuning my car
