86 crx for 200 bucks, is it worth it?

i'm new to the crx tuning community, ive been into civics and teg's for a long while but my friend picked up a rx and i fell in love, but lets cut to the chase

86 crx (unsure if its si, of hf )
-stripped interior besides 2 seats and guages
-motor with blown head gasket (not sure which motor)
-paint is alright
-nicely done body kit
-rear wheel will not rotate (im thinkin brake lock)
-manual tranny

200 bucks

can you swap a b16a (civic sir) or a zc?
are there alot of performance parts?
are they plagued with problems?

for 200 bucks i think its a good buy.....


i myself have a 86 civic hatchback....

and for performance a engine swap woulda probably help and just work your way up from there....and if your worried about performance go look at redpepperracing.com...they specialise on 1/3gs

and perhaps some new intereor you know the basics.....

$200 sounds good if the body is in good shape.

There aren't many performance parts available, but there are still some(not a lot of variety).

The easiest is the D16A1; similar to the DOHC ZC. A +88 D-series or B-series will require fabrication and custom work.
