86 si wanting to do a swap

what engine would you drop into a 1986 crx si if you planned to run turbo and rebuild the entire driveline/suspension for general speed and use (would like to run as fast as possible)

um no real budget yet just collecting ideas and theorys
final goal is a car that could go 200mph safely, even if that is far reaching
friend of mine did it in a modified Ford Explorer

I would not recommend that in an 86 crx, 200mph is not a safe speed in almost any car, much less a car that is under 2,000 lbs.

look into hondatuning magazines from 04-05 ish
they built 2 cars for salt flat runs, one all motor, one heavily boosted, neither touched 200mph...
and i'm gonna have to call BS on the explorer doing 200mph unless it had some serious motor and suspension work... thats like trying to make a brick fly...

put some serious thought into this project and decided to scrap it since the entire under body is crap with rust, so no luck.

as for the explorer clame, its got something like 1100 hp from alot of work, and its been stripped to a minimum
