88 civic std swap

What would be the easiest motor to swap into an 88 civic hatch - plus i want to upgrade to a five speed tranny so I need to keep that in mind.

by far the easiest is the zc swap... you can get the dohc zc with tranny for pretty cheap... bolts right in and uses the std harness with a little modification but not much... anyway i love mine...

if you use the zc tranny you will also need the zc intermediate shaft and 86-89 teg axles(not too sure on that) but any 88-91 d series tranny will bolt right up...
