91si with no engine!

I purchased a 91 si with no engine. I bought the car hoping i would have time to fix it up.Right now i'm still getting to now the basics of automotives. Anyways what is the best engine for it in regards for getting high gas milage. I'm not looking for power right now, just the best match for fuel economy.

get a Sohc ZC there pretty cheap and run a little harder

great, thanks! i'll check the engine out on ebay. bty what would be the bill for a tech to do the work. I have no tools or shop.

well over yonder there's another thread labeled "How much would you charge?" which is for the price of a motor swap. Shops charge more. Take a look at that thread for an idea of the price.
