My B18C swap is basically complete but I noticed that the car was overheating slightly. I checked it out and it seems that when the thermostat "pops" the fan doesn't kick on. My car is OBD1 and the motor is an OBD2 and we are working on getting all OBD1. Could this be the problem with the fan? Thanks.
 
check all clips on the radiator fan, and temp sensor for the coolant. I had a similar problem and then noticed that my radiator fan clip was just out a little.

try running direct current to the fan direclty to see if you need a new fan motor
 
My buddy just ended up wiring the fan so it turns on when the motor comes on. A temporary fix until I can get to the real problem. Thanks.
 
I have done that before, it works that way but over the long haul if you keep it like that you will burn out the fan faster.
